The Art of Maurice Boulanger
French artist Maurice Boulanger must have been a romantic: his cute and funny anthropomorphic cats are often shown in the various stages of love or rejection. Although he is sometimes called "the prince of cat postcard artists," information about Boulanger the man is elusive. Editors at J.M. of Paris published some of his work as early as 1903. Other publishers, including Raphael Tuck & Sons, featured his work on postcards and calendars.
